Old and new faces to attend Brighouse gala

Some old and new faces will be attending Brighouse Charity Gala on Saturday.

From Hipperholme and Lightcliffe Art Society display to the donkey rides and fairground will be making a welcomed return. Punch and Judy and Brighouse and Halifax Model Engineers to mini go karts and the ducking stools will be on the field. Pulse Roadshow is back after a short break and there will be a variety of stalls and games.

The duck race starts at 5pm and the dog show will start at 1pm.

There is a vast amount of entertainment planned in the arena with announcer Philip Clarke of Hove Edge and on the stage with Graeme Genty who is in charge.

The opening ceremony will take place at 1.30pm.

A caravan is selling tickets for the gala priced at £1.50 are available in Wilkinsons car park. Tickets can be bought on the day at £2. Under 16’s are free. The gates will open at noon with the opening at 1.30pm.

Volunteers are still needed between 8am and 10am to help put up the marquees and rope the field and if anyone can help they should contact ground chairman Peter Edwards on 07522450064 or turn up Saturday morning.
