Legends from Hove Edge will once again be slipping on their football boots for their annual charity match in memory of a Brighouse woman.
Old Pond Football Club will be holding its annual charity match at Lane Head recreation ground on Sunday, May 3, at 10.30am.
The event is to raise money for the Cardiomyopathy Association in memory of Lisa Freeman, who was a young mother of two who died in October 2005 from the heart condition hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
The day begins with the charity match when the current Old Pond team will play the Old Pond Legends, a side made up of retired players and special guests from Hove Edge.
Refreshments will be sold after the game at the Old Pond pub, followed by a raffle and competitions.
Organiser Andy Dawson said: “A good gathering on the touchline would be appreciated to help the raffle get off to a good start and to support the lads on the pitch.”
