One man hurt in early hours smash

Two men fled after a black Vauxhall Signum collided with a wall and car at Park Road, Elland, shortly before 2 am today.(Thur)

A third man was treated by an ambulance crew.

Firefighters were called to make the Signum and the parked Ford C-Max it crashed into safe.

Both vehicles were badly damaged.

Police with dogs searched the area for the two occupants who fled.

A fire spokesman said the driver of the Signum lost control as it travelled from Elland to Brighouse.

It hit a wall by the Waters Edge Day Nursery before spinning and again hitting the wall and finally the C-Max.

Police said inquiries are continuing.
