This could be the worst road in Calderdale

I've just read the article about the worst roads in Calderdale.
"The road has been dug up countless times. Its sunk in large areas, has countless potholes""The road has been dug up countless times. Its sunk in large areas, has countless potholes"

Thought I’d let you know about the one that’s never mentioned (probably because it’s on the boundary between Yorkshire and Lancashire). It’s the A681 from Todmorden to Bacup. It's an absolute disgrace.

The road has been dug up countless times. It’s sunk in large areas, has countless potholes.

Worst of all, a three mile long trench for pipes for wind turbines was dug up to lay the cables and must have been filled by amateurs with a bucket and spade.

It has sunk in many places and is too dangerous to drive on. In some places it’s the full width of the road.

I’ve broken three suspension springs on my regular commute to work on this road.

I’m also a motorcyclist, and many times the road has unsteadied me on corners.

Before long there will be a tragic accident on this road unless it’s sorted asap.

This is a major road and most of it is a 60mph zone.

It’s been neglected and forgotten about by Calderdale Council for many years to resurface it. It’s unbelievably bumpy and just been bodged.

I’ve reported it time and time again, but feel ignored.

I’m sure all the other motorists out there who use this road regularly feel the same as I do.
