Reasons to pay a visit to the Calderdale Industrial Museum in Halifax

On a recent trip to Halifax, I visited the Calderdale Industrial Museum.

I spent a fascinating couple of hours seeing the history of industrial Halifax.

The museum has an incomparable collection of machines from the town’s past in the wool trade, in machine tools, power generation, mining and sweet making.

The exhibits have been well restored, some in working order.

The volunteers were friendly and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend a visit to locals and visitors alike.

This Southowram lad who has lived over 40 years in California was excited and proud to see the town’s industrial history so beautifully presented.
