The Piece Hall effect within Halifax town centre has greatly reduced with many businesses reporting figures down on last year.
Increased charges in Brighouse have seen one business drop a staggering £9,000 in three months since the parking changes introduced this spring, according to Lesley Adams.

Retailers are reviewing the situation, seeing what the Christmas season brings.
A number of long established and some newer businesses will disappear over the next months, even the Piece Hall is not immune to this.
The councillors seem quite at ease with the fact that they are killing off many small businesses and making some larger businesses seriously consider their position within Calderdale.
