Childhood sweethearts are celebrating sixty years of matrimonial bliss.
Arthur and Winifred Brearley, of Elland, first met as pupils at Elland Church of England School when they were aged just ten.
As young adults, they realised their love for one another over a waltz at the local Elland Constitutional Club.
They wed in December 1954 at Halifax Register Office when Arthur was serving in the Royal Armed Forces.
Winifred worked as a mill worker at John Dewhirst in Elland.
The loving couple went on to have two daughters Linda and Denise.
They have three granddaughters Katie, Paula and Lucy, grandson Daniel and a great granddaughter called Macie.
The couple enjoy holidaying and will celebrate their anniversary with a special anniversary getaway.
This weekend, Arthur and Winifred will enjoy a special meal out with family to mark their diamond wedding anniversary.
