Parachuting nurses will raise cash for Overgate Hospice

A group of nurses from Calderdale Royal Hospital will be plummeting 10,000ft in aid of Overgate Hospice.

Sabia Akhtar, Natalie Jones and Cath O’Hara are all staff nurses on ward eight which is an orthopaedic ward.

They will be taking part in the jump on October 13 in Lancaster along with their friend from Pinderfields Hospital, Victoria Jagger.

Cath decided she wanted to do a parachute jump before turning 40 and decided to rope in a few of her colleagues.

She said: “I have wanted to do a parachute jump for years and although I’m nervous about it I’m also really excited.”
