Pedestrian in critical condition after Leeds accident

A 38-year-old is in critical condition after he was hit by a car on the M621 in Leeds.

The incident happened at 5.15pm on Tuesday 6, when a male pedestrian was in collision with a Peugeot 407 near to junction two (northbound) of the motorway.

The Peugeot and a Mini Cooper were then in collision immediately following the initial incident.

The pedestrian was taken to Leeds General Infirmary with serious injuries.

Enquiries are continuing into the incident and officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident and in particular the movements of the pedestrian immediately before the incident.

Any witnesses are asked to contact the Eastern Area Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support Team on 101.
