Pensioner killed in HGV horror is named

The pensioner killed in an horrific accident in Mytholmroyd yesterday has been named.

Nancy Gregory, from Luddenden, died after being hit by a wagon on Burnley Road.

The wagon was queuing at the junction of New Road and, as it moved forward to the front of the queue, it hit the 79-year-old as she was crossing the road.

Mrs Gregory was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the accident, at 2.10pm yesterday, or who saw Mrs Gregory before to get in touch.

They are keen to know her movements that day and are keen to hear from anyone who saw her at any time.
