Air conditioning equipment donated to Overgate's Big Build Appeal
State-of-the-art air-conditioning equipment has been donated to Overgate Hospice’s Big Build Appeal, helping create a comfortable and supportive environment for patients, families and staff in the new building.
The donation, by Heatworks Ltd, includes high-efficiency Daikin VRV air-conditioning units, designed to provide reliable temperature control throughout the new hospice facilities.

The equipment will help ensure patients receiving end-of-life care are cared for in a calm, comfortable and dignified environment, while also supporting visiting families and hospice staff.
By contributing this specialist equipment, Heatworks is helping support Overgate Hospice’s vision for a modern hospice with improved facilities that meet the growing needs of the Calderdale community.
Nathan Ure, Director at Heatworks, said: “Providing comfort is at the heart of hospice care, and we’re honoured to play a small part in supporting that mission. We appreciate the care and support provided to patients and families during difficult times, as members of our own team have had family members and friends cared for by Overgate in their final days.
"Supporting the Big Build Appeal is our way of giving back to an organisation that means so much to the local community.”
Tracey Wilcocks, CEO at Overgate Hospice, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Heatworks for their generous support of our Big Build Appeal.
"Creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for patients and families is such an important part of hospice care, and this donation will make a real difference within our new hospice facilities. Support from local businesses like Heatworks helps us continue building a hospice fit for the future for our community.”
Overgate Hospice’s Big Build Appeal aims to raise vital funds to create a modern hospice with more space, improved facilities and a more supportive environment for patients, families and staff, ensuring it can continue to meet the growing needs of the Calderdale community.
