This Saturday, local musicians who were set to play at Hipperholme’s Brodstock Music Festival in June are coming online together to create a four-hour programme of live performances through Facebook.

The talented singer/guitarists will be performers from their homes and followers can watch and comment, sending real time messages, via their phones, tablets or smart TVs. The online concerts are free to view to anyone with a Facebook account and viewers will be invited to make donations, should they wish, to Overgate Hospice which is one of the festival’s main charities.

“We are blessed with some outstanding performers in our area and we’re encouraging everyone to listen in to these highly intimate concerts on Saturday” explained Brodstock volunteer James Ogden. “If you want to get your live music fix, during the social distancing, and make it feel more like a Saturday night, tune in and kick back!”
