Following someone pretending to collect money by going door to door, Steve Duncan, CEO of the CFFC would like to confirm that the Landlubbers are genuinely collecting money for the appeal.

Simon Conway, Lead Organiser of the Landlubbers commented: “We did a gig at The Weavers after the floods and donated our fee to the flood appeal. We couldn’t take payment when these poor people have been devastated by flooding. After the gig we decided we wanted to do more to help so we decided to busk for free and all the money we collect will go to the flood appeal.”

Steve Duncan, CEO of CFFC responded: “We would like to say a huge thank you for The Landlubbers giving up their time and organising this to raise funds. We have started giving out grants to people affected by flooding but need to raise £1 million. Any donations are gratefully received, and we hope that the general public will support them by putting some money in the collection tins if they make them raise a smile.”
