Hide AdDue to the Government’s lock down rules, the hospice has been forced to close all 14 of their charity shops and cancel many of their events during the busy Spring/Summer fundraising season.
Consequently, Sarah decided to start her sponsored walk challenge in order to help boost the hospice’s funds. So far, she has managed to raise over £500.
“Working at the hospice is such a privilege. I get to work with amazing people who are all dedicated to the hospice and to the people we look after.
“Due to COVID-19, Overgate’s income has dropped significantly so by setting myself this challenge I am playing my part in keeping this amazing place open for adults in Calderdale living with life-limiting illnesses,” said Sarah.

“Sarah is a fantastic nursing assistant who spends her days going the extra mile for our patients but now she’s going even further, ensuring she hits 13,000 steps a day to help raise money and awareness for Overgate. It is a fantastic idea and shows how committed she is to Overgate. We are all very proud of her.”
