How to help Seb’s campaign

The parents of three-year-old Sebastian Skinner from Bilton aim to raise £75,000 to pay for a life changing operation in the United States.

So far the Standing with Sebastian campaign has raised over £8,000, mum Selina said: “It is just so very kind of people.”

The family have been hit with a further blow after their doctor told them, ‘there is nothing more orthodontics can do for Sebastian.’

Mrs Skinner said: “Sebastian can’t have any more castings for splints as his left foot is so high on his tippy toes that he’s lost the range and so stiff it can’t be flexed in to the splint. It is upsetting to hear as we know operating is our only way forward and just wish we had the money now.”

The mum-of-two - who is from Wetherby - is kept busy caring for three-year-old Sebastian and one-year-old Darcey, but is preparing more fundraising events including pub quizzes and a ball.

The family is now encouraging schools to get on board and raise money for Sebastian’s SDR operation on World Cerebral Palsy day on October 1.

She said: “We would love it if schools could get involved, hopefully with a non-uniform day, it just seems fitting for the campaign.”
