The 2020 Queen’s Birthday Honours list was due to be published in June, but was pushed back to enable nominations for people playing crucial roles during the first months of the pandemic.

Gentleman Jack and Happy Valley writer Sally Wainwright has been honoured with an OBE for services to Writing and Television ADD Yorkshire

Philipa Bragman from Hebden Bridge has been handed an OBE for services to People with Learning Disabilities. She is the founder and lately director of CHANGE. (Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire)

Halifax's Muhammad Naveed Idrees who is head teacher of Feversham Primary Academy in Bradford has also been given the honour for services to Education

For services to Young People with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in Calderdale, Martin Moorman , head teacher at Ravenscliffe High School and Sports College has also been given an OBE

Henry Robert Jenner has been honoured with a British Empire Medal for services to the community in Halifax,

Nicholas Ian Watson has also been given the same honour for voluntary service to Scouting in Rastrick,
