This year’s award will be presented to Luke, who created ‘Andy’s Man Club’ following the tragic suicide of his brother-in-law.

The awards are given to individuals who, through their business or voluntary activities, are an inspiration to others.

Support group Andy’s Man Club offers a space for men to talk about their mental health and open up with others who may be in a similar situation.

Luke is determined to smash the stigma around mental health and break down the barriers which often prevent men talking about their feelings.

He will receive his award at the college’s graduation ceremony this Saturday, September 24, at Halifax’s Victoria Theatre.
