My Hopes for 2021: Rev Hilary Barber

Out of the darkness of 2020 I hope will come a strong reaction towards the new normal.

There is a good opportunity to re create new ways of living, working, leisure and volunteering.

Lets not pretend the old normal was perfect because we all know there were many imperfections.

Yes I do want to be able to enjoy things I took for granted, but I also know that there is a good opportunity to make things better for everyone, and not just for myself.

Here in Calderdale we want to ensure that the kindness we have seen in 2020 becomes the new normal, and the resilience that has been built up in business recovery and in the lives of individuals can be the stimulus for ensuring the widest possible participation in the recovery, and making certain that Calderdale is the best borough in the north of England!
