Overgate Hospice's Garden Party set to be bigger and better than ever
The much-loved Overgate Hospice Garden Party returns on Sunday, May 10 at St. Patrick’s School in Elland.
Following a year of exciting progress for Overgate’s Big Build project, the event will continue to be held away from the hospice grounds.

The party will officially open at 12pm, with Overgate’s mascot, Harold the Hospice Hare, kicking off the celebrations.
Visitors can expect an exciting atmosphere with live music throughout the day, alongside familiar favourites and some new additions for 2026, including a bigger barbecue area, a dedicated Pimm’s and cocktail bar, a coconut shy and much more.

Popular stalls, games and activities will also be returning, offering something for all ages, with a few extra surprises planned to make this year’s event bigger and better than ever.
The Garden Party remains a true community event, made possible by the support of Overgate Hospice staff and volunteers, along with local groups including Friends of Overgate, community organisations and supporters from across Calderdale.
Rachel Lumb, community and event fundraising manager at Overgate Hospice, said: “The Garden Party is always such a special day for our community.
"We’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone back for another relaxed, family-friendly afternoon, with lots to enjoy and a few new extras this year too.”
Tickets cost £1 per adult and it is free entry for children.
The event is sponsored by Michael Wilson and Sons.
