Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the hospice was forced to cancel all events during the busy Spring/Summer fundraising season and close all fourteen of their charity shops. Despite losing these two major sources of income, the hospice still needs to find £11,600 every single day in order to continue providing its care.

Faye Henderson, Head of Fundraising at Overgate Hospice said: “With so many of our events cancelled this year, we wanted to do something to bring all of our wonderful supporters together in a fun way whilst still supporting the vital work being done at the hospice. The rainbow has become a symbol of hope during this crisis and we thought that there was no better way to celebrate our amazing community than coming together to create a rainbow of colour above Calderdale.”

Jess Bailey, Events Fundraiser at Overgate Hospice said: “We are really excited for our first ever Virtual Colour Run and are delighted to have a local company as our sponsor.

“We are thrilled to have so many of you signed up already and cannot wait to see your photos and videos.”
