Purrfect ending for Lizzy and her owner

A Brighouse Echo and Halifax Courier online appeal reunited Don Wilkinson, of Lyndhurst Avenue, Brighouse, with the female Lilac Point Siamese after she had wandered into a home, just two streets away from Mr Wilkinson’s home.

After seeing the online appeal, a male resident contacted Mr Wilkinson and later met with him to return Lizzy to her owner.

Mr Wilkinson said: “It’s good news - Lizzy is back in town.

“The man looking after Lizzy had taken good care of her and thanks to the online story he was able to contact me.

“I went to his home with a cat box, we shook hands, I thanked him and then I brought Lizzy home. Without the online appeal, I might not have ever found her.”

Lizzy, a house cat without a collar, went missing on July 22 after climbing out of a window during the hot temperatures.
