At this week’s Cabinet meeting, Leader of the Council, Coun Tim Swift (Lab, Town) said that Coun Susan Press (Lab, Todmorden) had stepped down from her Public Services and Communities portfolio and would be replaced by Coun Jenny Lynn (Lab, Park).

Coun Swift said Coun Press had stood down from Cabinet at the moment because of long-standing health issues.

Coun Lynn was elected to serve her ward in 2012 and re-elected in 2016.

She is also a member of the council’s Climate Change Working Party and Transport Working Party and is also a member of the Park Ward Forum.

The change follows on from Coun Swift taking on portfolio duties for Public Health issues from Coun Faisal Shoukat (Lab, Park).

Coun Shoukat’s place on Cabinet was taken on by Coun Silvia Dacre (Lab, Todmorden), who has taken a portfolio for Resources.
