Zoe Bedford, 10, of Kilnhurst Road, Todmorden, was inspired to send birthday letters to the Queen and the Duke of Cambridge after reading a children’s book written by comedian David Walliams.

Zoe sent the card to Prince William, whose 38th birthday was in June, during lockdown, but she had to wait for her reply due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

"It really was most thoughtful of you and His Royal Highness sends you his warmest thanks and best wishes."

It has been a busy year for Zoe, who also received a reply from the Queen.

She was also recently shortlisted for the Young Sibling of the Year award after being nominated by a member of a member of staff at the charity Sense.
