Zoe Bedford, 10, of Kilnhurst Road, Todmorden, was inspired to send birthday letters to the Queen and the Duke of Cambridge after reading a children’s book written by comedian David Walliams.

Zoe sent the card to Prince William, whose 38th birthday was in June, during lockdown, but she had to wait for her reply due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The letter said: "The Duke of Camebridge is most grateful to you for writing as you did.
