Total number of Covid-related deaths at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust goes over 300

A total of three new Covid deaths have been recorded in hospitals run by the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust in the latest update
Deaths were recorded where a patient either tested positive for Covid-19 or where no positive test result was received for Covid-19, but Covid-19 was mentioned on their death certificate.

Currently in the two hospitals the Trust has 126 inpatients who have tested positive for Covid-19, 13 of whom are being cared for in the Intensive Care Units.
Since the start of the pandemic, 302 patients who were being cared for at the Trust and had tested positive for Covid-19, have died.
The Trust's Medical Director, Dr David Birkenhead said: “These are difficult times for all the families involved and our thoughts are with them”
