Woman rescued by firefighters from house fire in Huddersfield

A woman was rescued by fire crews from a house fire in Huddersfield last night (Wednesday).

Firefighters from Brighouse and Huddersfield attended the scene in Rawthorpe at 7.50pm.

The woman was rescued from the property by fire crews wearing breathing apparatus.

A male and female were treated at the scene and taken to hospital by ambulance, after suffering smoke inhalation.

Four breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet were used.
