Chris said: “I watched Marcus Rashford discuss poverty and lack of food for children throughout the pandemic and I asked Rebecca if we could do something locally to help out.

“We as a team were all going to go the Lidl or Aldi and get a load of shopping for Calder Cares, when Rebecca spoke to Janet Lymer it was clear they needed funding.

“I’m a bit mad and I’m all for a good challenge to raise some cash, Ronnie Carr who is Sub-Agent on site, asked me if I fancied doing the Marcathon this year.

“That made two of us. The other three work for the Environment Agency and when Ronnie and I told them about the challenge they also wanted to sign up.”
