The event was attended by the specialist doctors and nurses from Yorkshire Fertility, which has one of the best conception rates, at around 40 per cent, with over 250 babies born in the last year.

The team sees about 1,500 new patients per year from across the area including Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Dewsbury, Leeds and York.

Patients are able to access the latest fertility technologies including pre-implantation genetic diagnosis and time lapse imaging which help to ensure only the best quality embryos are selected for transfer.

Yorkshire Fertility has also just started virtual clinics so that, where possible, patients do not have to face journeys in – based at Calderdale Royal Hospital – and can have face to face appointments with the experts via a secure internet link.

The annual event is hugely popular, reuniting parents and their babies and the staff.
