Over £6,000 has been raised to help the dream of a new wheelchair for Amelie Gledhill come true.
Competing teams and their supporters gathered on Sunday at Greetland Community Centre for their eighth year of It’s A Knockout.
Dressed up in colourful wacky costumes and competing in hysterical water soaked races the teams battled with each other to be crowned the champions.
With help Amelie, 10, was able to take part and had her own team with school friends called ‘Amelie‘s Heroes’.
Amelie has a rare condition called Russell Silver Syndrome, which limits growth and causes a number of other problems.
Summing up the day, Amelie said: “It was the best day we had because of the sunshine.”
