Pictures show the aftermath of Ash Green Primary School fire as recovery begins

These pictures show the damage caused to a Halifax school building by a huge fire.

Emergency services were called to Ash Green Primary School in Clough Lane to tackle the blaze. This has been the scene today as investigation work continues (Pictures by Bruce Fitzgerald)

Fire crews received reports just before 8pm on Tuesday night

At the height of the blaze there were ten crews from stations across West Yorkshire

Two breathing apparatus, one jet, one hose reel and three positive pressure ventilation fans were used to prevent the fire spreading.

The fire was eventually put out just before 10.30pm as damping down began.
