LLOYDS Bank staff left the office for a “Day to Make a Difference” at Luddenden Dene Junior and Infant School.
The eight colleagues from the business services department at Copley Data Centre took advantage of the scheme which encourages employees to help a charity or community project.
Samantha Barnett gathered her colleagues and they chose to help the school after contacting Calderdale Council seeking a list of potential organisations needing help.
“The school needed playground equipment painting and we planted areas around the playground clearing so children could start their own vegetable plot,” she said.
“The teachers were pleased with the results and it was an enjoyable day for the team – even in the pouring rain!”
