Police appeal after woman robbed in Boothtown

A woman was pushed to the ground and robbed by two hooded attackers in Boothtown, near Halifax.

Police said she was attacked by two males as she walked along Rawson Street, towards Square Park, at around 7.15pm on Thursday (December 3).

A police spokesperson said: “She was approached from behind by two males wearing dark clothing with hoods up, who pushed her to the floor before stealing her handbag.

“The males are believed to have run off into the park.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Calderdale CID via 101, quoting crime reference 13150496509, or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
