Police appeal following thefts from parked cars in Todmorden

Police are appealing for information following the theft of items from four parked cars in Todmorden.

The Valley West Neighbourhood Policing Team would like to speak to anyone with information about the incidents which took place overnight between Thursday August 14 and Friday August 15.

In the first incident,thieves broke into a Renault Clio on Ridge Bank between 9pm on the 14th and 8.15am on the 15th and stole a sat nav.

A Skoda Fabia was also broken into on Wellington Road between midnight and 9.10am on Friday August 15

Two more vehicle break in’s took place in the Stansfield Road car park at around 6.30am on August 15, after thieves smashed the door windows of a Nissan Qashqai and a VW Polo..

Sat navs were takenfrom both vehicles.

PC Trevor Simpson of the Valley West NPT, said: “We are linking these offences in all of which thieves have broken windows to gain access to the vehicles. Enquiries are underway including forensic examinations of the cars and CCTV checks.

“I would ask anyone who has information and in particular anyone who was walking down Stansfield Road bewteen 0545 and 0645 hours and may have seen anybody acting suspiciously to contact us.
