Police in Huddersfield are appealing for witnesses after two men were robbed of their phones in the Fartown area of the town.

The two victims, aged 20 and 21, were walking along Alder Street between 8pm and 8.30pm on Friday, 17 October, when they were approached by a man on a bicycle. The man has made threats of violence and the two victims have handed over their mobile phones. The man has then rode off towards the direction of Huddersfield town centre.

The man is described as white, aged in his mid 20s, between 6ft and 6ft 1ins tall, of medium build, with visible stubble. He was wearing a blue Adidas zip-up top with three red stripes down the sleeves and a grey baseball cap with the word ‘dope’ written on it and a gold circular sticker on the peak with a black cannabis leaf on it.

Detective Inspector Andy Parr, of Kirklees CID, said: “I would urge anyone who was in the Fartown area and saw a man matching the suspect’s description or who has any other information which could help our ongoing enquiries to call Kirkless CID on 101. You can also pass information anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
