Police appeal for missing Knottingley woman

Police are appealing for information to trace a woman reported missing from the Knottingley area.

Wakefield District Police would like to speak to anyone who has seen or has information about Vicki Milton, (42) who was reported missing from the Knottingley area yesterday at 3.15pm (Thursday April 17) and had last been seen at about 7.15am that morning.

Enquiries are ongoing both in the local area to find her, and also at the Fairburn Ings Nature Reserve in North Yorkshire which she has previously visited.

Vicki is described as white, 5ft 2in tall of a chubby build, with very short white blonde hair, and blue eyes.

She has a tattoo of a flower on her left wrist and tattoos of a flower and butterfly on her left hand, and was wearing a black woolly jumper, dark denim jeans and grey Converse trainers.

Detective Inspector Lester Lee of Wakefield CID, said: “We do have concerns for Vicki’s welfare and would like Vicki or anyone who see’s her to get in touch to let us know she is OK. Officers are searching the local area around Knottingley and also the area around the Fairburn Ings reserve in North Yorkshire.

“I would appeal to anyone who may have seen Vicki to contact Wakefield District CID on 101. Anyone who thinks they may have seen her in North Yorkshire should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 and say they have information about West Yorkshire Police missing person Vicki Milton quoting West Yorkshire Police log 919 of the 17/04/14.”
