Police confirm death of woman on edge of Halifax town centre
At 12.10pm today (Friday), police received a report of concern for safety for a woman in water under North Bridge.
A police cordon was put in place as emergency services carried out their work.

Hide AdA spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said:"Emergency services attended and recovered the female, who was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
"Enquiries are continuing at the scene, but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances at this time."
The road was re-opened later in the afternoon.
