Police investigate suspicious incident in Bradford

Police in Bradford are making an appeal to trace the occupants of a silver car, possible a VW Passat, that was seen at approximately 6.30pm on Friday October 3 in Canterbury Avenue.

Detective Inspector Neil Benstead, from Bradford CID, said: “When the vehicle was seen it was waiting at traffic lights near to the junction of Little Horton Lane where an Asian female, who was a passenger in the car, appeared to be in a state of distress as she was confronted by an Asian male, who was also a passenger in the vehicle.

“Another Asian male is believed to have been driving the car which was seen to turn left into Southfield Lane after leaving the traffic lights.

“It is unclear from the report made to the police what took place, however, it was reported by a member of the public who was concerned enough to contact us in the first place. With that in mind I would appeal to the occupants of the car to contact us and explain their actions.

“I would also ask any other members of the public who may have seen the incident or have any information to contact police.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Bradford CID via: 101 and quoting reference number 1306 from October 3.
