Police investigating smash that left passenger in critical condition

A man is in a critical condition in hospital after a serious crash last night.

The incident occurred last night when a Peugeot 406 collided with an Audi A3 on Savile Park Road, close to the junction with Elmfield Terrace, at 9.45pm on Wednesday night.

The driver of the Peugeot, a 24-year-old man, was taken to Calderdale Royal Hospital with minor injuries and has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

His passenger was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and is currently in a critical condition.

Two males, both in their 30s, who were in the Audi walked away with minor injuries.
