Police issue appeal after 81-year-old man is hit by vehicle

Police have issued a witness appeal after a 81-year-old man was hit by a vehicle in Halifax.

The man, who suffered serious injuries, was hit by the vehicle on Pellon Lane, at the junction with Mount Pleasant Lane, at around 4.50pm on Wednesday.

The man was taken to Leeds General Infirmary by ambulance.

Police put a road closure in place whilst paramedics attended to the man’s injuries and accident investigation works were carried out.

Any witnesses are asked to call police via 101.
