Police have renewed their appeal for information into the death of Bradford man Clement Desmier.

He was found at his home on Rowlestone Rise in Ravenscliffe on August 23, last year, with over 70 separate injuries.

Last week murder charges against a 63-year-old man were withdrawn after further evidence came to light during police enquiries.

Detective Superintendent Mark Ridley of the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team believes the answers lie locally.

“We have had a lot of support from the community and, in terms of the people who do know who is responsible, it is possible that their allegiances have changed and they may now feel comfortable to give us that information.

“I have met with Mr Desmier’s family and they are very supportive of the ongoing investigation and want to see those responsible for the murder of their father prosecuted.

“This appears to have been an isolated incident and we want to reassure the community that we are determined to identify those behind this brutal murder.

“I would ask that anyone with information to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.”
