Police’s fresh appeal after man’s death

POLICE have launched a murder investigation into the death of Richard Reynolds after he was attacked in Sowerby Bridge.

The 42-year-old, who is from Halifax, was assaulted on Friday, May 13, and died in hospital on Wednesday.

A man has been charged in connection the incident.

Detective Superintendent Paul Taylor, from West Yorkshire Police’s Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, asked for any witnesses to get in touch.

“There would have been lots of people around at the time of this incident and we would appeal for anyone who saw anything to come forward and speak to police,” he said.
