Police still looking for witnesses to Tingley hit and run

Police are re-appealing for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision in Tingley.

The incident happened at 12.15am on Friday, March 29 on Dewsbury Road in Tingley, near Dewsbury.

A vehicle was in collision with a 17-year-old man on the nearside of the Dewsbury bound carriageway.

The vehicle, which was travelling from Leeds towards Dewsbury, initially stopped but then left the scene leaving the victim with serious injuries.

The man from Middleton is in a serious but stable condition in Leeds General Infirmary.

Police want to speak to anyone who saw the collision, or a blue Nissan Micra before or after the collision.

The vehicle failed to stop after sustaining damge to the front end.
