Building sale details revealed
Calderdale Council has revealed that it has sold the Lawson Road building in Brighouse to a property developer for more than a quarter of a million pounds.
Responding to a Freedom of Information Request, the council confirmed the sale of its former offices was concluded on February 18, 2015, when the building was bought by Younger Homes (Northern) Limited for £262,000.
A council spokesperson said: “The property was placed under offer in 2012 in the sum of £285,000 subject to planning and acquisition of additional land. This transaction did not complete.

Hide Ad“The property was put on the open market in 2014 and, following an extensive period of marketing and negotiations with various parties, a sale was concluded on February 18, 2015, to Younger Homes (Northern) Limited at a price of £262,000.”
