Former Brighouse social club to be converted into apartments
and live on Freeview channel 276
Plans for the conversion of the former Blakeborough's social club into thirteen apartments were given the go-ahead by Calderdale Council.
The apartments will be a mixture of one and two bed apartments ranging from 26sqm to 94sqm.

Hide AdThe applicant Oakwood Property Lettings said the plans have been designed to maximize internal space but also retain the external appearance and overall footprint of the building.
The apartments will spread across the three floors of the building with work also taking place for storage and the courtyard.
The developers said in the application that the conversion has been 'designed to complement and enhance, whilst respecting, the context of the building and the surrounding area by transforming a disused building back into use'.
Over recent times the building was renovated into the Brighouse Emporium but the project had to abandoned for personal reasons
The Victorian former social club on Bradford Road has feature carvings above the door believed to be figureheads of Gladstone and Parmiston.
