It is understood that Coun Faisal Shoukat has been 'administratively suspended' from the Labour Party pending an investigation
A Labour Party spokesperson said: “We treat all complaints of this nature extremely seriously, and they are fully investigated in line with our rules and procedures.”
Coun Shoukat is the cabinet Member for Public Health and Cohesion and councillor for the Park Ward.
