Increase in voter turnout as figures revealed

Turnout figures for Halifax and the Calder Valley have risen since the 2010 General Election.

The turnout for the Calder Valley was 53, 775 (69.18 per cent) in comparison to 2010’s figures of 51, 780 (67.3 per cent).

And the turnout for Halifax was 44, 300 (62.91 per cent) in comparison with 43, 555 (61.9 per cent) at the last election.
