Residents and businesses have been notified of the works and a diversion route will be signed via B6138 Cragg Vale, Blackstone Edge Road, Turvin Road and the A58 via Sowerby Bridge.

Motorists are also reminded that the nearby Scout Road is also closed while works are carried out to repair damage caused by subsidence.

Calderdale Council’s Head of Planning and Highways, Geoff Willerton, said: “The evening closures are needed to ensure that these essential works can be completed, reducing the need for future maintenance. We will do all that we can to minimise disruption to road users, residents and businesses in the area while the maintenance is carried out, and thank people in advance for their patience.”
