Homes is Calderdale could be without electricity until 4pm today after a power cut.

The power cut is affecting 1, 410 properties in the HX1, HX2 and HX3 areas.

Northern Powergrid says it hopes to have power restored by 4pm.

A spokesperson said: "The power cut affecting your property has been caused by an unexpected problem with the cables or equipment that serve your area.

"Our team are working hard to restore your power as quickly as possible."
