Owner Cathy Beaumont, 57, was away at the time and found out about the latest break-in from the occupant of the above flat, who heard alarms going off.

Cathy, 57, slammed the culprits.

“I pity the people who have done this, for someone to break into a shop like this.

“It really is pitiful and we could have done without it. When you get a call like that at night, it’s awful

“It’s the upset it causes and the destruction of it all.

“But I really would like to thank everyone for their support and their help. The community has really rallied around.

“They have really given us the encouragement to get back on our feet and get back open.”

Cathy also praised the efforts of a local joiner, who managed to replace the shop window so the business could open its doors again on Wednesday.

This break-in is the latest blow for the business.

In November 2014 and April 2013, a number of prom and evening dresses were stolen from the shop.

Police say the culprits responsible for this incident have not been found.

Anyone with any information, or who may have seen anything suspicious around the time of the break-in should contact police via 101.
