REGULARS at a Brighouse pub put on their platforms and flares to help raise vital funds for Overgate Hospice, Elland.
The Brighouse friends group of the hospice organised the 1970s-theme night at the Old Pond pub in Hove Edge and raised around £300.
Fancy dress was optional but crowds of people packed into the pub to support the local cause.
Angela Curran said it was overall a brilliant night.
She said: “At one point we had thought of cancelling because we hadn’t sold a lot of tickets.
“But I am so glad we didn’t now because it was a fantastic night.
“We got some great donations by selling raffle tickets and the pub was heaving and the disco was good.
“We are busy now preparing for our next event which is at the Old Pond on March 21 when we shall be holding a quiz night.
“We have suggested 7.30pm for 8pm start.”
