He has landed at aerodromes and airfields in Carlisle, Caernarfon and Bournemouth and went solo at Manchester Barton Airport on his 16th birthday.
Jack has already passed all his ground exams including Law and navigation and hopes to obtain both licences PPL(A) AND PPL(H) on his 17th birthday.
He said: “The Geography and Physics Departments at Rishworth undoubtedly helped me to pass my exams.
“I feel fortunate to attend Rishworth School because of all the opportunities it offers.
“The satisfaction, exhilaration and sense of freedom of flying solo is incredible and so is the pride I feel as a captain of an aircraft.
“Da Vinci said ‘once you have tasted flight, you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward’. That is just how I feel.”
